Positioned at The Ella B. Scarborough Community Resource Center in Charlotte, NC, Cloud Lilies is more than just an art piece. The installation draws its inspiration from the bulb of the Carolina Lily and the natural process of groundwater absorption and transpiration in plants. The seats are modeled after lily bulbs, sheltered by inverted forms that mimic clouds. At its core, the lily bulb symbolizes potential growth and acknowledges the unseen struggles of individuals.
