The company designed and installed an automated compass system in their new headquarters lobby, which is in sync with the audio playing in the lobby. The system is made up of stainless steel rods connected to a steel disc, which is finished in mirrored material to individual stepper motors. The compass needles are 3D printed parts that are veneered with different hardwood finishes. The system can be remotely updated to change the audio and movement.
